Descriptive is a kind of text with a purpose to give information. The context of this kind of text is description of particular thing, animal, person or others.

The Generic Structure

Identification
Introducing where or who is the subject is being describe
Description
Describes parts, qualities, and the characteristic of the person, place, or thing to be describe.

Grammatical Feature
} Focus on Specific Participant
} Adjective
} The Use of Simple Present Tense

Example of description of particular person.
}  Aming is a famous entertainer.
}   He has curly and black hair. He has big quite eyes and pointed nose. His body is very thin.

        Kian is a journalist. He works at a newspaper publisher.
        Kian is very busy. As a journalist, he always collects and writes news. He also interviews people to support the news. He often goes to the other areas, even to remote spots in order to get some news. Sometimes, he goes abroad to cover international events. While covering the event, Kian always brings a black small bag. He puts his paper, pen, camera and tape recorder in it. 
       Kian has been interested in journalism since he was in senior high school. At that time, he joined his school publisher. His interest in journalism continued until he was at university.
